THIS IS ME

I'm Jim Ferrie. I'm a songwriter performer and producer based in South-East England who performs and records under the artist name "Jimmy The Dog".

Jimmy The Dog's latest album, Strangeness & Charm is a more subtle, folk-rock offering differing in style from the previous offering, the critically-acclaimed hard rock -based "Rattlesnake Love". It's the sixth JTD album and represents styles Jimmy hasn't done in quite a while, but the influences are still there in some form; Tom Waits, Tom Petty, Steve Earle, AC/DC, Bad Company, ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eddie Vedder....you get the idea.

Jimmy studied jazz guitar with Partick Naylor (www.patricknaylor.com) and acoustic fingerstyle blues with Eric Bibb (www.ericbibb.com) although somehow still thinks of himself as a keyboard player who plays other things as well!
